(16)In order to allow for a smooth transition, valid driver attestations and valid driver qualification cards issued in accordance with the rules applying before the application of the provisions amended by this Directive should be recognised for the period until their expiry date. Those amendments do not invalidate the training undergone, or the driving licences issued to certify such training, before their application.
