(27)Regulation (EU) 2015/2365 of the European Parliament and of the Council ⁸ allows for a simplified registration procedure for trade repositories that are already registered in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 648/2012 and that wish to extend that registration to provide their services in respect of securities financing transactions. A similar simplified registration procedure should be put in place for the registration of trade repositories that are already registered in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2015/2365 and wish to extend that registration to provide their services in respect of derivative contracts.
