THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,
Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,
Having regard to Directive 2009/138/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2009 on the taking-up and pursuit of the business of Insurance and Reinsurance (Solvency II) 1, and in particular Article 111(1), point (c), Article 234, Article 241, points (a) and (c), Article 245(4), Article 248(7) and Article 260(2) thereof,
