(13)For a number of substances, the Authority has not completed the evaluation or it has requested additional scientific data to be provided for completion of the evaluation. In accordance with the objectives of Regulations (EC) No 2232/96 and (EC) No 1334/2008 and in order to enhance legal certainty it is appropriate to include those substances in the list referred to in Regulation (EC) No 2232/96 to allow those substances which are currently placed on the market, to continue to be used in or on foods until risk assessment and authorisation procedures have been concluded.
