(4)Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 6 and Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 7 of the European Parliament and of the Council apply to eggs. Since they are relevant in the area of eggs marketing standards and in order to ensure coherence, reference should be made to the extent possible to those horizontal Regulations.
